Artist Statement

Art is a source of imagination and communication that has survived the test of time. I think it is the strongest method of how we share our thoughts. By sharing thoughts, and ideas we evoke conversations and feelings among us building awareness of what humanity seeks in this world. 

In our political climate right now, I find myself questioning what matters, and as an artist, it would be unjust to not address some of the universal issues facing the world during these polarizing times; i.e. equal rights, environmental change and leadership, to name a few. 

My current exploration—MATTERS—is socially reflective visual art, making symbolic statements through text, color, and movement, designed to draw questions & conversations of modern-life issues impacting contemporary culture.

Viewers are invited to question, inspire, and converse  about what matters—that’s the goal of every piece, sparking conversation between all generations, races, genders, and religions.  

My artwork is socially reflective with a stand for social good. As one small person on this giant planet, to make an impact beyond self, I bring local and global issues to the attention of all walks of life.
